Healing The Fragmented Soul
Reminding Yourself of Your True Worth
As our souls move through life, we go through so many quiet, delicate changes. Right from the beginning, we learn how to adapt. As little ones, we bend and reshape ourselves to keep our parents happy, learning early on to associate our compliance with safety, affection, and love.
As we step into the world, this pattern gently follows us. Teachers become the new measure of whether we are "good" or "bad," and whether our unique spirit fits in. Then come childhood friends, social circles, partners, bosses, and colleagues. Softly, piece by piece, we absorb the expectations of everyone around us. In our sweet, deeply human effort to belong, we fragment. We hide away our truest parts to keep the peace, until we find ourselves playing a role in life rather than simply living it.
Yet, almost no one escapes this journey feeling completely whole. Deep inside, so many of us carry a soft, tender ache—a quiet fear that we are somehow flawed, or that we must earn the right to be loved.
So, who are we really beneath all of this conditioning? How do we find our way back to the pure, unblemished essence of who we were born to be? People often say, "You just need to love yourself," but for a sensitive soul, what does that actually mean? How do we stop performing, how do we gather up the tender fragments of our soul and gently welcome ourselves back home to wholeness?
Loving ourselves is a journey, below are a few ways to practice self care and self connection,
6 Ways to Connect with Your True Self
Morning Quiet Check-In: Sit still each morning, place a hand on your heart, and ask: "How am I feeling right now?"
Automatic Journaling: Let your pen flow freely without overthinking to untangle your real emotions and release stress.
Healing Time in Nature: Walk or hike outdoors. Physical movement boosts endorphins while nature restores your inner calm.
Kind Self-Talk: Catch harsh inner thoughts and replace them with the same gentle, supportive words you’d offer a dear friend.
Self-Approval Over Others: Honor your own truth first instead of shaping yourself for validation—your self-love matters more than anyone's approval.
Soft Boundaries: Protect your peace by saying "no" to energy drains and "yes" to what truly nourishes your soul.
Above all as you go through life remember we are all working on loving ourselves, no matter what your economic status we are all on a healing path to loving ourselves. So be kind to one another, have compassion we are all doing our best.
Your Truly, Deborah
