Some of those answers began to reveal themselves during my very first astrology reading in my early twenties. I was sitting in the old Sam’s Deli, In Victoria b.c.when an Astrologer named Mac McLaughlin, whom I had never met before, suddenly said to me, “You must be a Cancer.” I had no idea what he meant and asked why he would say that. He replied, “Because of the shape of your face — it looks like a moon.” As it turned out, I did indeed have Cancer rising, and his observation was remarkably accurate. That conversation sparked a lifelong interest in astrology.

Not long afterward, a friend gave me a numerology book at a party, and that single gift opened another doorway for me. More than 30 years later, I am still passionately studying and exploring the wisdom found within astrology, numerology, intuition, and the metaphysical world.

I also love living on Vancouver Island because it offers such a peaceful rhythm of life — it supports my love of painting, studying, and spending time by the ocean. I enjoy meeting friends for lunch, sharing conversation, and staying connected within my local community here on the Island.

My journey has also been deeply shaped by personal loss and spiritual experiences. I lost my brother and closest friend when he was only 19 years old. He was kind, gentle, and deeply loved, and I struggled to understand why someone so beautiful would leave this world so young. On the day he passed, he said, “If I die, I would like Stairway to Heaven played at my funeral.” To this day, whenever I hear that song, I feel his presence around me.

I also experienced the heartbreaking loss of my daughter Sophie when she was only four months old. She was truly a little angel. During that difficult time, I experienced a strong inner knowing — a quiet but powerful message that she was okay and that I would have other children. That experience profoundly deepened my awareness that there is more to life than what we see physically, and that love continues beyond this world.

For many years while living in beautiful Victoria B.C. I would visit psychic readers for fun with friends on my birthday. In recent years, however, I met an extraordinary psychic medium, Arlene Mills, whose accurate messages from loved ones brought me comfort, clarity, hope, and inspiration. Through her guidance, I began formally pursuing mediumship and intuition development classes.

Today, I continue to deepen my training and spiritual development through mediumship, astrology, numerology, intuition, and healing work. I believe this path is one of lifelong learning, self-discovery, and healing. In helping others connect with themselves and their loved ones, we often heal parts of ourselves as well.
